88mm Flak, The Kill Stealer

While attacking an objective on the Wings of Liberty Server myself and a coupe of LaGG's got jumped but a 109 and two 190's. Thankfully for me they went for the LaGG's first giving me an opportunity to take out some distracted axis players. 

 

The final kill however was 'stolen' by a flak gun. I think I would have got guns on him, I'm sure he thinks the same from his position plus he had already damaged me, so one of us was more than likely going to get a kill. In the end the flak gun team had the last say, and stole either my kill and/or his depending on your point of view.

Nice flying and shooting! I tend to lose energy too quickly in the IL2.

 

A long time ago i got shot down by a IL2 when flying a 109 and i was completely humiliated. I had all the altitude and energy advantage and got too cocky.

Yeah it doesn't keep its energy well, you have to rely on the enemy either being distracted or over confident and turning with you. Haha I have been shot down by my fair share of il2's as well, worst I've done though is been killed by a stuka when I was in a yak. I tried to turn fight him and lost.

A LW fighter being shot down by an IL2 is the same as a VVS fighter being shot down by a 110. There is just no excuse.  They really don't have the performance to match you in a turnfight but if you let them get their guns on you for one second you will regret it.

t`s definitely no disgrace to get shot by il2s or 110, no one can have attention on every thing what happens  around him or her. Furthermore it woul be pretty arrogant to underestimate such aircraft, even an

il2 mod 1943 or a hs129 (wich are feeling some how very heavy and regide, in my opinion) can be unexpected deadly, in hands of a skilled virtual pilot.
