" I agree it was kind of nice, but a bit arbitrary. In reality pilots did not have their own pool of planes they had to ferry themselves. Still, if it's fun it's good enough for me, but there were some downsides, the biggest of which being when things did not work, because of a bug or wrong action by a player. I would get complains now and then, each of which could take me 30+ minutes to investigate: Find the player, find the mission logs, find the flight in the logs, follow all the actions of the plane from take-off to landing... Too tedious. Then there is also the fact that the game does not have any convenient way to update plane numbers dynamically in a running mission in a precise way, and you can't put a per-player filter on the planes players can pick. The only alternative was to kick people who were not aware of the rules, which I don't like. All of that convinced me I shouldn't spend time on implementing this again in the second version of my online dynamic campaign. Edited February 22, 2022 by coconut 1

NETSCAPE Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 I remember playing on Coconut expert server 3+years ago. I was trying to remember some of the mechanics of the dynamic campaign stuff, but "http://coconutside.eu:8080/doc/CoconutDynamicCampaign.html" is dead now it seems. Is this information elsewhere on here or a different location? thanks.
