The strong will of the Soviet flyer (TAW) vol.2

We flew another flight with Il-2. I had version 42 and Noemis version 43. The goal was to destroy the enemy positions that we damaged in the previous flight on the Lagg-3. We almost crashed at the start when we landed unexpectedly on the way to Peska. Above the target, we both received heavy attacks of enemy antiaircraft batteries. On the way home, I still had an aircraft that was already heavily damaged by two attacks on the airport and an anti-aircraft battery. At that point, I was forced to return to our airport because of the damaged oil cooler, which I was almost blind.That our enemy Bf-109 was waiting for us at our place could not have surprised us anymore.
