Watch this long video and from about the middle it's getting really interesting and at 40 minutes they state
that the FX8350 is equal to or faster than the i7 4770k!

Interesting watch, thanks for sharing. But FX8500 has 8 physical cores versus 4770k 4 physical cores. So it makes sense it can outperform 4770k on paper if you can utilize all those cores effectively (which is basically very rare in today's games/engines). Although, we are probably looking not at 2x margin here, as Intel CPUs have higher IPC.

 

p.s. What happened to Battlefield 4 Mantle support? Didn't they said they will get Mantle implemented in a patch in December?
