=GW=reiljuin8892 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 When I press "H",the FPS will be increased,from 50 to 60+FPS,everything is being smooth,emmmm...
BubiHUN Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 everybody in our squadron is having issues with fps, we always have FPS drops at the same time.
Pupo Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 The 2D HUD overlapped to the 3D game environment causes a significant FPS drop. This problem is common to a lot of games and it's not very easy to work around. It is specially bad when using VR (or so i have heard). CSGO, whose 2D HUD could cause FPS drops in the order of the 50%, fixed it by including the HUD in the 3D render of the game (visually they look the same, a user can't notive the difference) but it was, according to them, very hard to achieve. The devs are aware of this limitation, but i don't think they are working on it right now.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) the Hug used to be ok..it was not until VR that they made it a sep 2d overlay for VRNow we all must suffer.Just like previously60fps in flight then open map screen and it jumped to 150-200fps on mapNow it stays the same if not drops a little. OrLoK Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 In VR you soon find it easy not to rely on the HUD gauges. I still keep labels on though. The only reason I return the HUD back on is for Messages, but then I turn it straight back off.

Only other time is if on a bombing run in my PWCG Yak-1 Campaign. At one time the aiming assist marker was not tied to the HUD being on, but now it is.
