Saitek X56 Trottle and yaw controls

Hello

 

I just got myself a X56 HOTAS and IL-2:BOS, and I am having a couple of issues. I have been searching the forums and google to no avail.

 

1) The joystick has twist and I am trying to assign it to the rudder, but when twitsting the joystick the rudder just snapps to either side. Is there anything to edit in the controls to stop this?

 

2) When trying to assign the the trottle to the trottle, it only uses the top half of the slide.

 

If anyone as a fix, please help. I am getting a bit frustrated,

Calibrate the stick with the software?

 

Does windows joystick doodad thingy show you that all axis are using their full range?

I have calibrated the stick and have used it in different games, such as DCS:world. In the software it shows me using the entire range. It is only in BOS that it does that.
