dd_delta7 Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Hi new here but many years experience with IL2. I am trying to set up my X-52 , I am running windows 7 pro and have tried the old madkatz and new logitek software for joystick but have major issues The binds do not seem to take well when I use the pinky switch on the joystick Switching modes turns on autopilot or I lose all functionality of joystick and keyboard. Having read that one way around is to bind keys in game my question is how do you get shift to work and modes to work or is it just a no I have seen joytokey recomended in anothe rthread is this the only solution and will it allow the three modes and pinky shift? I thought it would be easy to map the same setup as il2 46 but seems not any help appreciated S dd_delta7
AstroCat Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) Use the new Logitech software and drivers for sure. And make the keys advanced commands rather than just key presses. Works a lot better. I've also found messing around the delay times works well. Here's my profile to check out for an example. Sokol1 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I have seen joytokey recomended in anothe rthread is this the only solution and will it allow the three modes and pinky shift? Joy2Key is alternative for have "shift" in pinky button without use Saitek software - that cause headache for some users, but don't allow use X-52 mode switch. For use mode switch (and shift) you need map commands through Saitek software, not in game options Keybinds. 1
AstroCat Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Honestly x52 can be a bit wonky with held keys, such as CTRL=/CTRL- ,etc... but if you use the advanced command function for these keys (I did in posted profile) it works like a champ. It takes a bit of messing around but you can get the X52 (shift function and all) working great. 1
dd_delta7 Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Thanks for help , I will try the X-52 again with advance function if that doesnt work then Ill choose between joytokey and ingame and see what works best regards dd_delta7
Aap Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Use the new Logitech software and drivers for sure. So is there a software that actually works properly with X52 nowodays?
