VIVE - recorded gameplay off centre

Recommended Posts

When im playing in my VIVE everything this fine, i record acouple flights using the default command Lctrl-R and when im done playing ill disconnect all my vive and restart the game normally.

When i watch my recorded footage it appears im looking about 15-20 degrees to one side instead of straight at the nose..... How do i go about fixing this issue?

Thanks,

Do you mean that the view is centered rather than looking via one eye therefore the gunsight is out of alignment? (for this issue I'd love to know if there was a workaround? perhaps a selectable offset applied to line up to one eye for replays rather than having to record a single eye in VR?)

Or is it really pointing off in a different direction than you were looking?

I dont really find that an issue for me, i move around till the sight is in a good position..

My issue is when i fly in VR its fine, when i go to watch the recorded flight.. my head should be centred looking straight ahead at the propeller instead my view is off centre.

RED = Is my view

BLUE = Correct view

Also while on the topic of VR on my monitor it displays 2 screens the same (im guessing its left and right eye) while in game. But ive seen videos where people have just a single thin vertical screen

In VR I don't have an issue with moving my head to align the sight, I'm referring to playing recorded tracks on screen with VR disabled. View position is from your nose, which means you don't see the gunsight alignment as per how your right eye would in VR. (Or left eye if your left eye dominant). If you are recording a Spitfire you probably won't notice the issue due to the size of the gunsight. (Both eyes can be used at once for that one).

The display you see of Jason flying was from an earlier patch. It changed to both eyes onscreen during live VR gameplay a few versions back without a switch or option to change it to single eye.

Your issue with the view being so offset I have not encountered before.
