FW190A-8 and D-9 Canopy

It would be nice if the dev's could make a system selectable for the canopy of Fw190A-8 and D-9.There are several glass configurations.

I am not a programmer, but I think it can be simple to set up and give all the configuration to the FW 190A and D at the canopy level.

I can't see the difference in either example of the two flat or the two blown canopies. What is different between them?

Already the armor plates are different and for the glass there is a big difference in the visual level.

I'll have to take your word for it. Both flat canopies look the same to me. So do the blown canopies.

didn't some of the 190 A8 have the blown canopies also?

error in the diagram/pics - cone vs. flat plate armor switched IMHO...

The rear view is already good in the Anton , Wait are you saying it gets better ?

Yes I was hoping they could model the two canopies for these new Fws as mods in the list.

Yes, some of them did.

The rear angles are very slightly different and the peak is closer to the front framing on both of the "common" canopies.

I vote for rare blown and common flat.

Again, I can't see it. Basing it on an artist conception makes it difficult to accurately judge. Actual photographs would help.

There has been an ongoing speculation for years about Dallas built P-51Ds having a slightly different shaped canopy from those built in California. I don't have the actual quote in front of me or remember who exactly on the design team said it, but his judgement was it was simply that during the process of making the canopies, there were minor difference in how they were formed. Maybe it was similar in the case of Fw canopies?

The red lines point to the area of difference.
