If Lufties think the A8 is a sub par choice for Bodenplatte, what about the RAF pilots who ought to have a Spit Mk. XIV or XVI but will be stuck with a Mk. IX?

 

There is a difference between thinking the A-8 is a sub par choice for Bodenplatte,  and simply wanting the A-9 to be included.

 

The A-8 is the obvious and correct choice to model and I can't wait to fly it, along with all the other great aircraft we are getting.

As long as they model it correctly as An A8  not as an armored F8 as they did in other games (The non Jabo A8  is just slightly  heavier than A6.. not  330 kg heavier).

and even late production IX were made with bubble canopy AFAIK

there is no difference in look and Performance - beside the engine manufacturer plate ...

 

btw, for my taste, a bubble canopy destroies the line of a Spitfire , never liked the look

 

 

i guess , a MkXIV is high on an additional collectors plane list

We all ready have a Dora , which most will say is the better plane , it's about if not now, maybe we will never  see it and it's about a flying style at it's pinnacle 'ha' if comes down to it , we will just fly the Dora has you know 

 

Because I guess it wasn't obvious enough, I'll just say that my "request" for a P-51H was done tongue in cheek.

 

Whether the Dora is the better plane or the pinnacle of flight, I'll leave that to the experts. It was a good fighter, a step up from the A models. But it was still slower than most Allied fighters in 44-45, with shorter range and lower service ceiling. Other than that, it was the best.

A-9 through engine upgrade would be sexy!

Anyway, if it's not going to be, it doesn't matter. The A-8, with correct weight, is a fantastic aircraft.

A9 is the pinnacle of the Anton series , it's the hot rod for Anton lovers , the Dora is not the same , but still cool, don't get me wrong

But on a serious note, why do people presume there will be no further Western Front expansions? A-9, Typhoon, Mossie, Me410, surely all these planes make great candidates for inclusion in a 2nd ETO Battle after BoBo. No need to whinge about them not being in the initial Western front offering.
