Reading Raaid's post in the general discussion k came to think of how cool it would be with a guncamera feature in BOS. Press the firing button and u will automatically record with a realistic gray corny quality... Would be awesome!

I agree would be a neat feature.. if it couldn't make it in the release .. would be a cool if it could be implemented later. I would also like to be able to toggle on guncam tracers. I realize that its the camera vibrating..making the tracers look a little erratic and Ziggy...but when we all watch the videos..that is what we all see. I would like it if I could make my tracers look like that in game.(client side from inside the cockpit of course) I'm a believer that with guns like 8 303s or 8 50cals..+ plane and weapon vibrations.. the tracers aren't going to look perfectly straight ( from the pilots eyes). The plane should shake and vibrate when you pull the trigger. I feel like a lot of Sims miss the mark when conveying the power and punch of the guns and cannons. S!

This is from a Java based program I found online years ago. All it does is capture a series of single screen shots which you then have to turn into a gif animation. It's a pain to use but I think it looks like real guncam. I'd love to find a modern version that would do full screen and maybe be easier to use.

Having a built in gun camera would be a neat feature but I'd like to see it from the ground up and with some historical quality to it. If the plane had a camera then I'd like to see the recording coming from exactly the point where it was fitted.

BTW: I think it's a wonderful idea no matter what!

I'll also agree, always been a feature that I wanted to see impleminted into flight sims.

It's an extra, but wouldn't that be fun after a mission? Sit down in the film room and see how badly you led the bandit?

In IL-2 1946 you can simulate "trigger guncamera".

With JoyToKey assign a keypress to trigger - ie ScrLk (with this key you have a "camera ON" led :) ).

To stop need hit ScrLk (or maybe a timed script..)

But I dont see much fun in watch resulting "guncamera" with only few seconds of shooting...

In P-51 the dual stage trigger alow to the pilot start de gun camera without shoot:

The "funny" thig is: In IL2 1946 the camera record system work fine, but due many request to change this in UbiZ00 (the old crow :P ), in CLoD us have the actual crappy system.

I have no idea how much of a system drag it would be but if a system that worked like .ntrk was incorporated to record the entire flight, then a special feature to record guncam we'd have the best of both worlds. I agree with FlatSpinMan in that a film room screen to view the guncam would be immersive. I'd imagine if it were possible to view something like that in multiplayer, it would be a boon to a squad in accessing victory claims. I know we get "confirmation" now, sometimes long before the enemy crashes even. I just think it would be a cool feature.

You can record whole flights now so I doubt it would be a drag at all. you can setup a gun cam with a macro and shadow play but you will see the cockpit :(

I liked the way you could set the gun camera activation to "trigger" in Rowan's Battle of Britain..
