HagarTheHorrible Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 If I recall properly, I think there was an issue with regard to skinning aircraft in RoF and that some areas around the cockpit, struts ect, weren't included in the external skin templates. Would it be possible for the group taking on the challenge of incorporating the RoF aircraft into BoX to rectify this anomaly ?
TG-55Panthercules Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) This raises a key point that is like an elephant in the room - i.e., will the current set of skins for the RoF planes (of which there are several thousand historical and semi-historical PWCG skins presently, as well as several thousand more personal player/squadron skins) continue to work for Flying Circus, or are we looking at having to do all that work over again? On the one hand, it'd be nice to be able to address the small anomaly you mentioned, but not so nice if it means throwing away all those existing skins and starting over again. 6./ZG26_5tuka Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Since Jason annoinced the models may be improved visiually there will surely be some differences artist need to account when porting skins from RoF to Flying Circis. Overall the workload should be relatively low though. Creating skins in RoF was a pain so I'm very much looking forward to do some 4ks for Flying Circus.
