Will we get a "green" map too?

Folks,

Maybe I missed something and it has already been stated, but I was wondering: will there be a fall/ spring map too in the final game, or only this snowy one? In the setting there's a slider for grass, which is quite irrelevant at the moment.

Just curious...

the initial release covers only the part of the battle, that takes place after the launch of Operation Uranus in late November, so there will be no need for anything but a winter map. With later additions we will ofc get other maps with different seasons.

I think it all depends on succes of BoS.

But not  a green version at release indeed.

On the other hand it would not surprise me a summer/autumn Stalingrad map will see daylight sooner or later. There is a lot but less work involved than in creating a completely new map.

And his been asked a couple of times already.

 

Would be awesome to have the mud season included.

I have a feeling that we are going to be staying on the eastern front for a little while, so I would expect to see a fall map after BoS has been released and we see the next mini theater and plane expansion.  Im hoping for Kuban and Kursk.

I am hopeful that we will get a small map with summer textures for online use but the big main map will of course be snow-only.

So exactly which period will be in BoS in the final? Fall Blau started in Summer 1942, near September German Army was near Stalingrad - so if we talk about Battle of Stalingrad green/brown map must be, simply, :-) .

We'll start with "Operation Uranus" - Soviet counterattack and finish with liberation of Stalingrad. Between these events you will see the surroundings of the 6th Army and the attempt of its unblocking - "Operation Winter Storm."

I do hope they get onto a summer/autumn map... on the other hand it'd be fine if they finished with Stalingrad there and then and went to Kursk. Now that would be good... The largest airbattles of the Eastern Front surely is worth the BoS treatment...
