DetCord12B Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 As a DCS WWII owner, I can't help but agree with the vast majority of the sentiment expressed. Go IL-2! https://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/comments/7dl4b2/goodnight_dcs_normandy_press_f_to_pay_respect/ 1
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Not only at the top but everyone seems genuinely excited for it
Jade_Monkey Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Makes me happy to see people are getting excited about it.
Monostripezebra Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 It doesn´t change anything for me: Il2 has the more compelling potential for online gameplay, DCS has the more interesting study aspects. I will still play both.
johncage Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 aside from the clickable cockpits, everything dcs ww2 offers is inferior to what il2 excels at. besides, clicking stuff is really only worthwhile on modern planes that use displays and computers 1
Feathered_IV Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 It will be interesting to see where DCS WW2 is at by the time Bodenplatte is done and dusted and the Il-2 team have moved on to something else.

I would gather maybe releasing half of their WWII assets pack. Maybe a campaign for the P-51...... thats about it. And boy did they sure bury that thread quickly. 4 pages back
ElPerk Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I gave up on DCS WW2 multiplayer a few weeks ago. After much consideration, I bought the Normandy map so I could jump in DCS 2.0. After this I noticed Burning Skies, which had a whopping 16 players online, required the WW2 assets as well. I did not buy the assets pack. I hail the destruction of DCS WW2 and hope something better will eventually rise from the ashes.

They'll probably be releasing WIP images of a half-finished* P47, having just released two new models of steam engine trains and a single Bren carrier for the Assets Pack. *if that 1
Rjel Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Some pretty positive comments there by names that don't sound familiar to me. Hopefully that translates into more sales down the road. The comment below from there made me laugh, not because it sounds cool, but because it sounds like a 10 year old trying to impress everyone by using big boy words. I see the same crud on Youtube too often. I don't even read the comments there much anymore. "Wait what! Will my beloved RoF be VR!? F... me, if that's true you can say goodbye to pretty much everything else.. That s... would be f...ing fit as f... for the glorious VR experience"
