Spitfire Vb - use of rudder / aileron on takeoff...

The following shot is from the

available on the Web, and shows at least 1/3rd of rudder ( right ) being used at takeoff speed.

 

In our IL-2 BoK Spitfire we can even get our feet off the rudder without feering any turning tendencies, near takeoff speed. Same applies at high power / high AoA climb.

 

Approximate takeoff moment is about 9 squares from the end of the time tape ( from right of the plot ).

Continuing my tests...

 

But the more I test the more I get the impression that probably there's actually a lot more in common to what you read in the above NACA document than not...

 

This Spitfire Vb is probably as good as it is possible right now with the IL2 FDM...
