We didn't actually  "lose", though the results were rather indistinguishable from it 

 

 

What happened was, while the last four Pe2's landed in the video, I was still over the target in my gray one ^{_{(I had taken off afterwards, as part of a second wave)}}.  I put down the last tank with a lucky bomb, and it did take out the objective.

 

 

 

Inconveniently however, a new tank column came up when the map turned, and that was really the reason the airfield ended up "under siege" on the following round.

 

 

 

So we didn't really lose... We just had an "anomalous victory", which to the layman's eye can indeed appear almost identical to something not completely unlike "getting our asses kicked big and hard"

The 2 flaming 109s were us.

 

That rain in VR, we couldn't ID anything.

 

And to what we heard on the comms, we ride them flaming to our deaths always on TAW, bailing equals shot in chute, so we die in a manner of our choosing.

Oh no, don't misunderstand me, not insinuating that the 19th would, I like you guys. You're normal with a even keel.

 

Just saying it happens on TAW, and since we don't know who's about to shoot at who, we just assume the worst and ride the flaming wrecks to our deaths.
