Error 0xc0000005 on launch

Hi everyone, since yesterday every time I try to open up the launcher to get in the game I am getting this error message (0xc0000005) that it's impossible to launch the application correctly. The game worked fine up untill now. I think that probably has something to do more with Windows than with the game... Any suggestions?

Messing around the files I found that while the main Il-2.exe works, the launcher.exe will give the error I mentioned before. Yet when I try to run the launcher through the compatibility mode it will open. Then it will revert to not working as soon as I close the compatibility mode tool, even if I saved the new otpions. Any idea about this kind of problem?

Still no idea? I looked at the old support page for Launcher problem but I couldn't see anything useful in this case...

A comrade in arms - I too am now getting the  "Error 0xc0000005 on launch" error when using the launcher.exe. The game runs offline fine from the il-2.exe file. This started happening just about the same time as Alexmarine28 but I was originally able to correct it by deleting the content of the updates folder and changing to 'run as administrator" in the compatibility box (per the IL2 FAQ in this forum). But now that solution no longer works.  If anyone out there has a viable solution your assistance would be appreciated.
