HansBlitz Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Cruising along in formation heading out and hoping we don't get bounced while in this tight but we couldn't resist seeing how tight in we could get. The 2nd pic is likely the tightest I've ever tucked in on the lead. A single Yak-1 tries to comes in on our four FW190s from our 9. I wonder if he thought we were so intent on each other while flying close in that we wouldn't see him coming. It didn't end well for the Yak. I spotted him coming in while he was still some distance out and we broke formation. He tried to pass on behind us but we were turing in on him by then. I missed with my first burst at high deflection from his 9. I continued to turn on farther in behind him more then fired two short bursts. The 2nd burst from behind scores hits and his left wing comes off. 3
ZachariasX Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Poor guy in the Yak! Why? He got what he asked for.
