Uriah Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 When I am flying faster than 300kph the nose of the plane wants to rise. When I get up to 380 I really have to work hard to push the nose down and fight against the forrce feedback of my MSFFB2 stick. I suspect this is not a BOS issue. So, when a plane like the 109F is flying at speeds greater than say 320 is BOS giving a realistic behavior? And as the trim is not yet fuctioning for the 109 this makes it difficult to keep a steady aim while dogfighting. And it seems I have to keep up good speed in a 109 because at low speeds pulling back on the stick does not take much for the plane to loose control.
RAF74_Winger Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Trim does function for the 109 - map the adjustable stabiliser command to your trim wheel. That should fix it. W.
Uriah Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Winger. I don't get the concept. I have the pitch, roll and yaw trims set to three different levers on my CH Throttle Quadrant. And I have assigne the 'adjustable stabilser' functions to two keys as needed. But do I have to hit one of those keys first befor the trim takes affect? Seems odd to me.
Fifi Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Uriah, only the adjustable stabiliser is working on the 109...don't try others trim!
RAF74_Winger Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I have the pitch, roll and yaw trims set to three different levers on my CH Throttle Quadrant The 109 doesn't have any of those things (nor did it in reality), it just has the adjustable stabiliser. W.
69th_chuter Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 (edited) Ahh ... the adjustable stabilizer. I have no idea why they distinguish between a THS (Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer) and trim tabs. To a pilot sitting in a cockpit ( ... ooo ... flight deck) there is no functional difference. Trim is trim regardless of the mechanical method used. I could see it if a plane had both, but none do. My plan of action is to duplicate the controls. HAHA! Edited December 21, 2013 by chuter
