HagarTheHorrible Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Is anybody else finding the pitch trim in the Spitfire odd ? I use a G940 FFB stick so feel the relative pressure of adjustments. My only comparable experience is the DCS Spit where it works as I would vaugly expect, nose pitch up and I have to increase forward pressure, down pitch and I have to increase back pressure. When flying the BoX Spitfire I have to pitch the nose up to it's max to get any nose down pitching while pitching the nose down forces the nose up. Is it just me ?
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 The spit is what as known as neutraly stable in the pitch axis. Basically it will point where you put it, the trim will help u turn. 1
EAF19_Marsh Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 You sure you do not have the control set-up backwards? I did that early on and wondered why it felt weird...
Madov Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Yes, it sounds like a control mis-setup. I find the elevator pitch and its trim really well modelled and accurate. Using both elevator and rudder bias one really can fly hands off.
HagarTheHorrible Posted November 9, 2017 Author Posted November 9, 2017 Thanks , I think I've realized what I did wrong. Just me being thick ( as per usual )

[APAF]VR_Spartan85 Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 And that was??For God sakes man, he said he was being thick! Lol But all in all, there's a gauge on the lower left dashboard that shows if your trimmed nose up or nose down.. Coming from clod as well, I noticed that trimming was a bit different in feel but worked the same... Gotta love the insta black out in the spit
HagarTheHorrible Posted November 9, 2017 Author Posted November 9, 2017 And that was?? I was adding one and one and getting two when obviously it should have been three. Just because I think I know what I'm trying to do doesn't mean that the computer or my controller does. That said, I haven't actually tried my solution yet, it's still just a theory but let's face it , when has theory and reality ever proven wrong ?
