Will we see more bf110 versions?

Would we see something like bf110 g4 with schrage musik? Or was this never used on the eastern front?

 

Really love the g2 version we have so far!

I would not count on it. Actually even the G2 version we have did not see a lot of action on the eastern front. By the time most units received the G models these units where transferred to the west. For the eastern front we could use an F2 model, which saw quite some action in the battle of Stalingrad. But again i would not count on it. 

 

Personally i would love to see the F2 model, because it think it's the best looking version.

 

@Panzerbar. Did i miss anything?

Two Gruppen of ZG1 and 13.(Z)/JG5 used Bf110F-2 from may 1942 to early 1943. Then it was generally replaced by Bf110G-2. From aug.1943, the only G-2 equipped unit on eastern front was 13.(Z)/JG5. Exept that Staffel, untill the end of War, only once - in late april-early may 1944, a Gruppe of Bf110G-2's flew on Eastern front. It was II./ZG1, providing escort for german and romanian ship convoys from Sevastopol to Romania.

I don't know about the AA engine, but according to a book Panzerbar send me a while ago, around 70 E models received the DB601 N engine. This is the same engine we already have for the Bf-109 F2.

 

On a sidenote. I do wonder what benefits the N/P will have on the current E model we have. It will not be groundbreaking i guess. That just looking at the engine stats.

The only other versions I can see being done would be dependent on the scenario. Very early war could see the C variant. If there was magically a night bomber scenario then the G-4 would make sense. Otherwise we have two key versions for the East in the scenarios that they came with.

 

I was very pleased to see the G-2 come with Kuban as it's a great way to show the progression of the series. The E-2 and then the jump to the G-2 is great.

Bf110E-1/2 was main german heavy fighter during BoM

Bf110F-2/4 was main german heavy fighter during BoS

Bf110G-2 was main german heavy fighter during BoK

 

E-2 for BoS is outdated, underpowered and underarmored. G-2 for BoS is overpowered, even it actially did flew to Stalingrad in January 1943

That weapon is a pure nightfighter deal. Trying to use it against any plane that has a ventral gunner (which is both the Pe-2 and the A-20B) is sheer suicide.

Personally I would like to see the Me 210/410 however those are either rather rare of out of scope.

An Me-210 would actually be realistic and quite cool. However, most likely also on the Backburner, seeing as Pacific is coming up, the La-5FN, Po-2 and 109G-6 are likely the last Russian and German Planes we'll see coming until we come back to Europe. 

I hope the Cooperation with the Guys developing the Po-2 has enough Promise to merit independent devolpment of more Aircraft in the Future, outside of the main Pacific Operation.

I would love to see a Me210/410 at some point whenever it makes sense to have one.

 

Was always hoping that it'd eventually make its way into IL-2: 1946 especially for multiplayer because of all of the roles it could fill from light bomber/attacker to bomber interceptor with some modifications.
