Madcliker Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Hello all I am very new to this forum and game. I have down loaded a scripted campaign 72ag_training and loaded it in my dserver for me and my brother to fly in private. My question is when we destroy an AI plane or ground unit , it respawns very quickly! Can this be turned off? I thought I could load it into the mission editor and disable re-spawn, but I can;t load the mission in the editor. Ideas? Thanks!
WWSitttingDuck Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 find the name of the mission by either loading it on the game, or looking in your data/multiplayer/dogfight folder. Open up Editor, and in the field box, start typing the first few letters of the mission, and the options for files with that file name will pop up, select the xxxxx.msnbin . Have a feeling rather then try to tell you what you have to do next, having you point me to the d/l for the mission, letting me look at it, and put a timer on all those spawns would be much quicker.
Madcliker Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) Following along with your directions, I opened up the editor and clicked open mission. The window to load a mission file opened and it wants a .mission file, it is not letting me see or select a msnbin file. The left window is my Dogfight directory. The right window is the editor open file window. **Update** I now see the dserver will open either mission or msnbin files. Can you edit an rankedded file from the stock missions? Where do you find the stock mission files to load them into the editor? Edited November 7, 2017 by BFSMMadcliker
WWSitttingDuck Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) ok, think you missed my point... Do you know the name of the mission you are trying to open? Lets assume it is 72agsomething.msnbin Open Mission editor, and again go to file>open The open window appears, and at the bottom, there is a text box "file name" and probably in the text box is my.mission, and it is selected. clear the my.mission, and if the name of the mission you want to open is the 72agsomething.msnbin, all you have to do is start typing the "7" in the "file open" box, and it is going to display all the files in your dogfight folder (or missions folder) that begin with 7. then you would scroll till you found the 72agsomething.msnbin file, and select it. To get to stock (meaning missions that came with the game) you need an application called ungtp. You can get it here http://bhah.homeip.net:192/Old%20Fokkers/unGTP10.zip Extract it to somewhere convenient. Desktop is fine. In your il2/data folder you will find a file called missions.gtp. Left click on missions.gtp, Drag and drop that file onto upgtp.exe. If you get an "unexpected file name encountered" just hit enter. This will create a folder in your data directory called [null]. Inside that folder are all the missions that come with the game... Edited November 7, 2017 by WWSitttingDuck
Madcliker Posted November 16, 2017 Author Posted November 16, 2017 Thank you! WWSitttingDuck That last part is exactly what I was looking for. Also I am very computer literate so no worries trying to explain things to me. I very much appreciate your help. I have not been able to find where I got the 72ag mission file. I believe it was a Russian forum i found it in. Any way I am now using rankeddedstalingrad2 on my Dserver. I just need to know If I can stop the AI from re spawning once I destroy a target. Thanks again!
