MarcoPegase44 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Good evening everyone I notice that on ROF or BOS, with missions created by PWCG. it often happens that the takeoff is made back wind, which is unthinkable in real aviation and is dangerous. I do not know if it is possible for PWCG to consider the wind axis to determine the runway axis used based on the dominant component.
PatrickAWlson Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I do that to make landing into the wind. With most BoS airfields it is possible to take off and land at opposite ends, so I could do something about it. With RoF not so much.
MarcoPegase44 Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) Thanks Pat. For landing as for takeoff, it is absolutely not realistic not to be face of the wind. With airplanes with tail wheel, in real aviation it is the "horse of wood" insured and break the plane. We are always face of the wind. It would be very good for PWCG to take into account the wind for realism in the choice of the direction of the runway. Edited November 3, 2017 by MarcoPegase44
