I75930k,3.5, GTX 1080, 16gb DDR4 33000

Samsung 32ich 1m/s refresh at 144Hz. Samsung C32HG70 32-Inch HDR QLED Curved Gaming Monitor (144Hz / 1ms)

Monitor now makes a big difference in your gaming. I was very surprised about this did not think refresh and hrz had anything on a GPU card but it does.

and it makes the game much more improved.

Now mind you not everyone can afford this and if you're using higher 100HZ and above you need to turn the vsync off or to Fast.

I see much better now, and with the new update coming the distances will be stunning.

In your profile setting I see a setting I haven't seen before (preferred refresh rate) (highest available)

Is this new to the 388.13?  is this a free sync setting ?

I'm using 388.00 and do not see that option, but I am using a G sync monitor

only if you have a monitor capable of G Sync, which I do not use that option I like my frames to be a little faster so I turn off Gsync, and run that setting instead.

is this a free sync setting ? yes.

you might encounter some video corruption because some people tend to lag their machine when they're trying to be a bigger dick. ya know what I mean.

Thanks Mastiff, did an reinstall of BoS and this is rather handy.

One remark: Triple buffering can be disabled because this only counts for OpenGL games, while BoX does use the MS DirectX.

I have a pretty stout machine and I still like to play on 1920x1080 with a 60hz refresh and vsync locked at 60. This gives me lots of overhead while keeping my GPU power usage low. The more FPS you try and push, the higher the temp, more GPU usage, etc...you run. I can keep 60 FPS locked on my system with lots of planes, ground, weather, etc...Just what I was looking for. Keeps everything nice and smooth.

I would try to run 2k, not 4k and disabled SuperSampling.

But why not make screen shots like Mastif did, so we could help you better.

Just turn the fan upto 100% and heat wont be an issue unless you got a cheap nasty card.

who cares about the power use on year long power bill the difference is nothing.

and it should not put a strain on PSU as you should have one well above your system needs.

eg, if your system needs 500watt psu you run 750 watt psu it will only use the 500watt system need but last longer than a 500watt PSU

I think Frag is more concerned with the smoothness of the game . A man after me own heart. Having lots of overhead is a good thing if stutter kills the immersion for you. . Pushing the thing to the limit isn't everyone's bag and some really cant  put up with the occasional (or even not so occasional) stutter or crash.

In the BoX adjustment field, disable SSOA and make sure your tv resolution is the same as the adjusted resolution on the game. Think on the tv this can be adjusted in the nVidia control panel see the picture and check also the Hz.

edit sorry I do see 2k is not 2560x1440

Als do not set Vsync on in the game and on the nVidia controlpanel, only one Vsync should be selected not on two places.

i do this, 2560x1440 on tv and in game, adaptive sync in nvidia panel and off in game, the game now looks like much smoother but not the best, it's playable, i think i will buy a 144hz g sync monitor soon =D
