Midair collission

Hello guys,

 

During the last FNBF I was in a midair collision with an ME109 (I'm the one flying the Il-2).

Normally this ends up in a big fireball, but this time something else happened:

 

Not sure I would call this a bug, but it seems a bit strange that I hit the 109 with my tail and that I completely disintegrate and the 109 just has damage to its prop

I'd put it down to "we has possibles manufacturing defect in Soviet factory... next time we uses metal rivets"    versus    "fur a change, mein Maschine funktioniert very well, Danke!".  

 

 

However, the rule is always that in any mid-air collision, your own aircraft will disintegrate and the other aircraft will fly off as if nothing happened.

 

 

 

 

That said, whenever I read about mid-air collisions, I am always reminded of the Brocklesby collission. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1940_Brocklesby_mid-air_collision
