Exploding Planes

I find it pretty common to light up a plane and see it burn all the way down into the ground.  But, I rarely see one explode in a fireball or explode after being on fire for an extended period.  Anyone else seeing explosions?  If not, it would be nice to see them modeled more often.

I find that planes explode quite often generally speaking after about 30 seconds of sustained fire coming out of the engines or wings but i have also found landing hits on the wings or fuel tanks of some planes such as the 110 will cause the plane  to simply blow up killing the pilot instantly which looks amazing and makes you feel like a real bad ass.

Have you tried any head-on collisions or ramming lately?

I see them a lot. Fire up the enemy and watch him explode

It is rare but I did get an Hs-129 with just a couple of 20mm rounds disappear in a fireball. Very satisfying!
