Flitgun Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Hi all, I am having problems lately staying connected in multiplayer. I understand this is not a problem with the game. I am located in New Zealand and having issues staying connected to a Russian IL2 server (WoL). I understand this is not an ideal situation to begin with, I know, but I am aware other players in similar locations are having less problems than I am (or none). I have a VDSL connection. A Speedtest result just completed came back as: download: 8.3mbps, upload: 0.65mbps This issue has been going on for months, though disconnection issues come in spikes of problems lasting a few days and then having no issues for some weeks before the problem returns. I installed a new router a few days ago, and this has made no difference. My ISP did acknowledge some disconnections during a spike of problems some weeks ago. This present spike of late appears I am not getting disconnected from the internet, but just the ping gets excessive and I get booted as a result of that. There are others using my connection, yes. However, I can still get disconnected from server when there is nobody else using bandwidth. (They've all gone to bed.) I ran pathping. I shall post it, though i don't understand much of it. This was done at midday of a public holiday, rather than when I play in the evening - if that makes a difference.
