CanadaOne Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Neat. But shipping starts at $45(CDN.) to Canuckistan. That's more than 50% of the value of the product. I'd like to see that price come down a bit.
56RAF_Roblex Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) What was with that low framerate video? My first thought was that it was demonstrating the device cannot keep up but then I noticed the video of the subject was also jerky. Edited October 22, 2017 by 56RAF_Roblex
Jade_Monkey Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I like that it doesnt require a "camera". It's really annoying to have to shut all my window blinds so there are no interferences with the TIR camera. Here I am in complete darkness in the middle of the day playing IL2.
BM357_TinMan Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) If this thing actually works well, it would seem to solve a lot of the problems with a camera based system like trackIR (low light, camera fov, etc) However, it appears to lack the ability to translate. This is a bit of drawback if true Edited October 22, 2017 by BM357_TinMan
Sokol1 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 EDTrack is based on same hardware, cost less and is more tested, but like this new lack of "6DOF" movements: lean and zoom.
LLv34_Temuri Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) EDTrack is based on same hardware, cost less and is more tested, but like this new lack of "6DOF" movements: lean and zoom. Yes, I switched to using only EDTracker recently. With the instructions found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fUb87WsdaY I mapped the head roll to X axis, so I can lean to the sides. I saw no use for the Z (zoom) axis, as I use the game's own zoom functionality. Works like a charm. Edit: Forgot to mention that EDTracker is available as a wireless version too.
