Finkeren Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 (edited) They are cool from a historical perspective, but I really hate most of the Stalin era aesthetics. To think that they reverted back to that after the immesely cool constructivism of the 1920s Edited October 21, 2017 by Finkeren
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I find some of the wartime designs cool, others not so much, but there is no denial that constructivism was aeons ahead. The cinematography at the time was also incredible! On the other hand, the 1940s posters and their primitive looks were simpler and easier to memorise, which is desirable when trying to reach a very numerous population such as the USSR's.
