Yes, really amazing.

I'm only a bit afraid about clouds. Any improvements there, default clouds setting included?

This worth a watch.

This is a big improvement for sure!

I honestly think this looks better than BoX, good work :salute:

Not sure if this is possible but do you consider re releasing this on steam again? Seen some devs doing this, it's new product, all bad reviews would disapear and you would have fresh start. It would show on steam main page as new released game, it would be some kind of ad and lots of people would see this.

Yes everything from now on will be released via steam!

i did not mean updates. I meant whole game, like put again on steam store as new product and remove old one. Since there is huge difference in CloD original and TF, it would get rid off old reviews, would showed up in "new released" tab and people on steam would see it.

The old one still looks good but the new one looks amazing!

Bloody marvelous!

Mmm... better tune expectations, indisputably highly improved by TF patches, in essence the game still the same, most of that several annoying bugs and flaws (AI drawbacks, radio commands "sweep under rug", limited weather bubble, difficult to add events in missions...), that pest the early versions continue there... new visual effects (some debatable) is not cure for all.

IMO - CloD will be always "the game that could have been, but it is not".

It does not have to be now, but this would be nice thing for 5.0 I guess. But agree, more work must be done, single player content and AI need work. But I believe steam is good thing to go into, adding little things like steam trading cards, badges, achievements. Putting add on steam store page (I don't know how much it costs tho) would be good thing. There is lot's of games that got huge rise in playerbase because they were added on steam. There are games I bought and enjoy because they were added later on steam and I found them on main store page but never heard about them before and would not find them if they did not put it there.

Steam is a big deal and devs should use itto. I even found BoS on steam, before steam release I never heard about this game.

I hope BoX devs will fix this steam issue and start uploading planes and expansions on steam again, if BoMidway would be put on steam with ad on store page, pretty sure it would be huge success, americans on pacific would make lots of people start adventure in this sim.

It is on Steam - its nearly always been on steam.

Putting 4.5 on as a new product is down to the publishers i guess but its a bit misleading given how long thee game, developed or otherwise has been around.

5.0 though...who knows...

Like they did with Deus Ex and Sleeping Dogs? Yea I can see that getting a lot more hype on steam than just having this news on forums. IL-2: Cliffs of Dover - TF Edition

Yea, exactly like this. Or more famous metro 2033 and metro last light that got re released as metro 2033/last light redux.

It may prove worthwhile contacting Valve and explaining the rather unique details of the situation with CloD.

Maybe ask them nicely, if the unworthy reviews from the original release could be perhaps separated, or something to that effect.

If there ever was a game that deserved a second chance, this is it.

A re-release is certainly in order.  It shall be a glorious day for gaming as a whole, not just sims.  It should mark a turning point where the evils of a greedy corporate publisher have been overturned by players-made-devs.

CloD is the true underdog story. Rising back from a cruel oblivious fate it simply would not accept, with resources it did not have.  Accomplished by sheer strength of will and passionate resolve.

Developers all over the world should stop and learn here.  There's more than just a couple of very important lessons to be learned from this.

What TF has done for CloD is unlike anything else in the history of entertainment.  It'd be as if the unsatisfied fans of "Star Wars: Episode 1" had assembled together to remake the film without Jar Jar Binks...
