Lensman Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 I've just had a Steam VR update and then the Chaperone grid on permanently where before it was invisible. I presume the update defaulted it to on by mistake. To switch it off: Activate the Microsoft X-Box controller that came with your RIFT. Start Steam-VR directly. Enter the VR room via the RIFT. Use the X-Box controller to navigate the the Settings. Drop the Chaperone opacity to zero. Done.
dburne Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 I may be a little thick, that did not work for me. I got to a slider to increase or decrease the brightness, but it would not turn it off.
Lensman Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 Try going into the Developer options in the settings and that should provide both a colour and opacity slider.
