NO_SQDeriku777 Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Just curious to see if any Sturmovik fans are going to TwitchCon this year. I have a ticket and was planning on going this weekend. Jason I don't know if he reads the forums but streamer ClassyPax who has over 63,000 followers has been known to stream Il-2 BOS. He hangs out with the Wet Bandits sometimes, who also have people Twitch streaming, though nothing compared to Classy's numbers. I hope we see more partnerships with Twitch streamers. The game is so beautiful now and offers such compelling spectator content that I really believe streamers are great way to get people interested in the game.
Jade_Monkey Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Although i dont think it's your scene, if by any chance you guys go to PAX East let us know. I would love to meet you guys!
purK Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Classypax told me he was wanting to do some event nights where we all get together and fly (twb) so who knows, you may see him streaming IL2 again soon. IL2 BoS has no game art on Twitch, do you guys have to contact Twitch for that, or does anyone know how it works to get it uploaded?
NO_SQDeriku777 Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 (edited) Classypax told me he was wanting to do some event nights where we all get together and fly (twb) so who knows, you may see him streaming IL2 again soon. IL2 BoS has no game art on Twitch, do you guys have to contact Twitch for that, or does anyone know how it works to get it uploaded? Also, there is an issue that when you click on the Videos section for Il-2 Battle of Stalingrad channel nothing shows up even though people are submitting recordings of their sessions. You can find the videos if you click of the profile of individual streamers but channel searches yield nothing. I don't know what needs to be done to fix this but it really makes game footage hard to find if people are searching by the name of the game. This may be related to the lack of proper setup-up, which I assume also includes game art. A solid Twitch presence is important. I never plunk down my hard earned dollars on game until I have seen it played on Twitch. Take a look at the SquadOps channel for Squad to see a game with a really impressive Twitch presence that has built up a fantastic multiplayer community. Il-2 + Air Marshall + Integrated Voice Comms = massive mutliplayer community heaven! Edited October 18, 2017 by NO_SQDeriku777
Jason_Williams Posted October 18, 2017 Author Posted October 18, 2017 We don't have any relationship with anyone at Twitch. Didn't know that was needed. Too much crap to follow these days. Jason 1

Jason It's a lot to keep up with I know but a fantastic way to get exposure for a game. Maybe some of the TWB guys who actively stream IL-2 can provide some insights into promoting the game on Twitch. Anything that can facilitate more people streaming IL-2 would be huge. kestrel79 Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 I was just watching some Youtube videos on my TV this morning and watched some really nicely done videos of IL2, many have over 100,000 views good to see sims getting some attention on Youtube and with the Streamers. Definitely a great gateway to get into this game and sims in general.
ShamrockOneFive Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 We don't have any relationship with anyone at Twitch. Didn't know that was needed. Too much crap to follow these days. Jason I've been following a few people who stream the flight sim stuff on Twitch and sometimes repost the end result on YouTube as well. I actually haven't watched much on Twitch but the end results seem to be pretty good. Definitely worth making sure that IL-2 has a presence on there. I noticed when I tag my videos appropriately IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad appears complete with art and custom search on YouTube. Not sure if you guys did this but I'd like to think that it helps connect people with more videos. 1
SvAF/F19_Klunk Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Twitch is a fantastic platform... really good exposure. Use it as much as possible... Svaf_tv
