Game Dev or Moderator, can you please help.....Tank turret control

I am using VR, and I deleted a number of pilot head  snap assignments thinking that I dont need them with VR. Now I have found that I am having trouble with turret control (aiming the turret), as the only way that seems to move the turret is by moving my head. I have to look into the sky to lift the turret, and look far to the left to move the turret left, and this gives me no precision at all, it is useless. 

 

How do I get the turret to be controlled by my mouse? I have tried a number of times to set Pilot Head Control/ Turret control to mouse X and mouse Y, but it shows that there is already something assigned to Mouse X and Mouse Y....... even though no other item on any menu shows that Mouse X and Mouse Y are being used.

 

So now after getting no help on the Steam forums I want to know how to reset all my controls to default. In other games there is a folder in Documents that has all the game control setups in it, and deleting this folder allows a fresh default setup to be downloaded. How do I get a fresh default setup for my controllers....... without uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game? Or how do I set control of the Tank Turret to be with mouse only, and not with head movements?

 

Do any game developers visit this site? Am I able to please get some assistance from this site?
