I know but only BoK is Early Access you know?

or they can add a early early access edition for everyone interested to test the new work in progress features and is aware of seeing bugs and not complain because of that because its WiP ^^

so a Work in Progress Edition would be nice

so that normal people who are not have the privilege to be a tester can also test just without support ^^

How about you just accept the way they have decided to release new content and stop telling them how they are doing everything wrong?

Open betas are fine for large AAA titles with huge companies and large development teams behind them. For a small team like this it creates way more problems than it's worth.

Simply having preordered BoK doesn't entitle you to anything other than getting new content as it is released.

I just said "it would be nice" not they have to do that....

Posts like these, and you make them constantly, are why you haven't been invited to be a tester.

Except you started out by saying, that the fact that the next update is coming out in December "would be really bad". This kind of talk makes you come off as entitled and whiny, even if that isn't your intention.

well time to wait is always bad ^^ but then the quality will be better

Too late. Damage done

Forget ' Tester', there should be a special 'Whiner' badge given to some people.

We do! It's called Member, sometimes Founder.

Edit: Can't leave people out can we?

Brilliant stuff, it's looking great. Absolutely great! Of all the sims (and I've played a few) I have to say that this is by far ans away the best to play/skin in/do videos of/etc/etc/etc... Well done guys and gals and thanks!!!

I wonder how much the frame loss will be with 150km view distance compared to now.

Hopefully my graphics card will be able to take it in VR...!

But finally the Kuban map gets displayed as it deserves

I'm curious to know what terrain it displays 150km off in the distance when one is already at the near edge of the map. A low poly terrain in addition to what's shown on the known map? Or does the turn around warning appear sooner?

Guys...keep it on topic.

And since I know most will read this post, let me tell you all something: Changing forums names to avoid moderation actions wont work, in fact it will be worse.

Also I have no time to delete all those posts about beta testing nonsense, but be sure they will be gone if that continue. Beta test team was selected and thats all, if you were not selected..bad luck, you may try again if the team need more people.

The patience is bitter but it becomes sweet as the time flows.

will we be able to increase the texture quality in the cfg again like it worked before 2.012 ?

Maybe just wait and see what it looks like? Me, I can't wait.

Good question.  I would love to know the answer.

If I understand the progress correctly, in the near future I can place my aircraft in the middle of the Kuban, Moscow or Stalingrad map at 5 or 6 thousand meters and by good clear weather like in reality see the all map?!

Great, really great, I live in a country that is smaller than that and know what it means, thanks. Fantastic job.  :salute:

As a big Sim lover and a comparison to Sim's like Arma, Cliffs over Dover, DCS ... this Game is far away to be called a Simulation. The Plane balancing and damge model (left engine damage but right engine smoke's. Rata flights without O2 Mask's n 6K) make's it to a Game.

Sigh...

If increasing the rendering distance of the terrain almost four times, from 40 to 150 kilometers what happen to the much smaller maps what we have? Can I see the End of the Map where everything ends?

Well if it is flat that will likely not be too much of a problem.

A good point very well put! Anyone could go into the 'what if's?' until the cows come home but at the end of the day I for one am here because of the sheer quality of the thing as a whole. God, the engine sounds are worth the money alone!! I await the improvements with baited breath!

Ha! Ha! It sounds a bit like something out of a Narnia book! No offence, it just made me chuckle. Please don't be offended.

I'm sure they're going to the ends of the earth to resolve that one. :pioneer:

Really looking forward to this improvement. I may be wrong but I am assuming that this is separate and distinct from rendering distance of target objects. Will the distance of these also be increased in the future, at least for the larger industrial objects?

Will Moscow be ever "flyable"? I would love to!

For what the developers have stated so far, it appears to be very unlikely.

In the Mission Editor, all the (massive) "tiles" making up Moscow are accessible, so it's very easy to take a flat part of a map and plonk them down and have a look.

I think what they did is really clever. The buildings are Basic shapes (even St Basil's) with extremely low Resolution textures and no "hit boxes" (or collision thingies, etc). In other words they're exactly what they're supposed to be - something that Looks from the distance so like a real City that you'd want to reach out and touch it (sort of!), while still allowing a smooth fps experience.

Up Close they look not so nice, but in game I think Moscow Looks amazing. It's a really great solution. [i still weep tears of Anger about CloD's "London". If only they'd done something similar - even if the Price was not being able to overfly it. In my own humbles, obviously!]

Sorry about all the wierd capitalisation. Stupid German language autocorrect!

Heeey!!

I wonder if this will enhance the VR experience in any way..!?!

P.S.

Jason,

You and your guys are doing an awesome job with this sim..

I can feel the love..  :)

Does this mean the hardware gap is about to grow again?

Some of us are already at a disadvantage when it comes to resolution and monitor size. It seems like this is going to extend the advantage some have. Or will this not be the case?
