Smoke giveaway

Hey all,

 

since the type of a smoke that enemy (or, less luckily, own!) plane is emitting can tell you a lot about the state the plane is in, let's get this straight - am I correct in my assumption as to what is being sprayed from the poor Pe-2 here?

The black smoke is not idicative of an oil leak but of certain types of engine damage. Otherwise you are correct.
