Yeah I don't mind supporting the developers, and I'd say I got at least 40 bucks in fun out of the JU88 the 109 E7 and the P-40 so far.

BOX is definitely a special kind of product. How many games out there have people really wanting to help the developers? I can't imagine there are people who would by Call of Duty add ons in order to support the business, but here it seems to be a fairly common sentiment.

 

I bought a plane last night partially for that very reason. I had no great interest in it, but it was on sale, so the devs get a couple of bucks and I get a plane and everyone is happy.

I bought my lad both the BOS and ROF Channel disc set and just purchased BOM from the IL2 site as well as the Yak-1b. I just need to buy him a computer now so he can play it! Just happy to support the team! Edited October 6, 2017 by Haza

Nope, you can buy any product through the website here, even if you own the Steam version of Stalingrad – You can buy Moscow, Kuban and premium planes here and they will unlock just fine

There is a silver lining,   anyone that owned BoM before this new promotion started  has been given a promotion code to buy any collector plane at 40% off until the end of October.  Go look at your profile.

 

The bad news is that while anyone who already owns BoM can now spend the next three weeks deciding what collectors aircraft they want & wait until pay day if needed,  anyone who is buying BoM in the deal must buy the collectors plane at  BoM purchase time or lose the collectors plane discount.
