So today I got promoted to Major in my PWCG campaign, woohoo!

However now I seem to have run in to a problem.

All of a sudden I am starting the mission at the enemy airfield, rather than my own?

I went ahead and took off in the previous mission, flew the waypoints ( it was an intercept mission), never came across any enemy ai aircraft, returned to my hostile home field and landed. Bullets flying at me.

So I created the next mission, it too was another intercept mission. And it too is starting at the enemy airfield. I just exited out of there.

Any ideas on what may be going on? Is this to challenge me in a big way after making Major ? lol.

Going to try another mission, if intercept maybe I will scrub until I get a different type of mission and see what happens.

Tried again and scrubbed the next intercept mission and got a ground attack mission.

Still taking off with enemy artillery on my airfield. Got to the target area and successfully took out the ground target and then got  a couple kills of 110's afterwards.

Made it back to the home airfield and landed with a stream of bullets flying at me from the enemy artillery that was at my airfield.

Also got some sort of log error message from PWCG after submitting my claims. I have attached the log file.

In Pwcg some aerodromes on the historical squadrons are poorly located as well as front lines.

you must correct the "SquadronInfo" file and the "frontlines" files in the Stalingrad folder.

A quickie on PWCG and how it works with respect to ownership.

The PWCG map has front lines drawn as a series of points.  Each set of points forms a line.  That line can change at discrete points in time.

Based on the front line positions, PWCG decides which side owns something.  Anything within n kilometers of a front line is contested or neutral.  Anything closer to friendly than enemy is friendly, and vice versa.

This determination of "friendly" vs. "Enemy" is used to determine what kind of AA to put on an airfield.

I have written test software to cycle through every day of a campaign and test every squadron's airfield on every day, to make sure that a squadron is never assigned to an airfield owned by the enemy.

Somewhere, something is going wrong.  What I need to recreate is your campaign.  Instead of the error log can you zip up the campaign and post it?  Thanks.

Sure thing, here you go.

I hope this is the correct folder/files you are looking for.

Thanks for checking into this Pat! It seems to now be happening on each mission ( Pretty sure the last 3-4 at least I have flown).

Fix attached.  Unzip it to your root BoX folder just like the original PWCG zip.

Issue: deploy issue resulted in two date folders missing for Stalingrad.  This caused the lines not to move while squadrons did move.

Contents of zip: complete set of Stalingrad date folders.  This will overwrite those that did deploy properly.  Just go ahead and accept the overwrite.

Hi Pat! Just tried PWCG again today and this same issue happened to me. I opened an old campaign and when I spawned the AA around the airfield was shooting at our planes on the runaway.
