Hey gang,

So I am now 60 missions into my first PWCG campaign in BoS and loving it.

I have a question regarding the enemy air and ground activity. I had been using simple config up until a few missions ago. I had enemy air set to low, and enemy ground set to medium ( what PWCG defaulted to).

A few missions ago, I went into advanced config - so I could get rid of the climbing waypoints for those missions that had them. I prefer just to climn on the ingress to the target area.

Well since then it seems like my enemy air activity has increased dramatically. Now maybe it is just where i have progressed to in this particular campaign I don't know. But oftentimes now I find my flight to be heavily outnumbered, like 2 or even 3 to 1 or more. A very recent mission I did earlier today had so many 109's they were like bees buzzing all around me lol. All I could do was tuck tail and try to run.

So just curious did this change have anything to do with me changing to advanced config? And if so should I just go in and lower the number of enemy aircraft? Or is it just the campaign getting tougher on me maybe?

Thanks for any tips,

This is a screenshot of the mission limits settings.

This is how they were by default when I went into advanced config, the only change I made was setting the " generate climb WP's" to 0.

The campaign is not designed to get progressively tougher.  Each mission is what it is.

Eliminating the climbing WPs would change the timing.  I would not expect it to necessarily result in more contact though.  Can't deny the possibility though.  It will generally result in less favorable contact - you will be low and they will not.

Ok thanks much for the feedback Pat!

piggy backing onto this topic here, looking at the settings page he posted I noticed you could do 'air starts'. If you put a 1 there, what altitude does it put you at? Is it based on the mission? Or is it always the same.

Thanks for your time! :D

IIRC, you will start at the 'Ingress' waypoint, with the altitude your flight would have, when you start from ground. You will just leave the part coming to the 'Ingress' waypoint out.
