Hell get loose - Kickstarter

I saw this, looks great. Like a WW2 Squad. Any idea what game the devs previously worked on? There is a ww2 mod for squad in the works as well, I might hold out for that.

I might not have payed sufficient attention. What exactly dies this bring to the table that hasn't already been done dozen of times before?

Google 'Post Scriptum' and see what other offers are on the table... You will see that you will be able to take part of a British Airborne soldier fighting at Arnhem.

British infantry and Tanks will also be used.

The enemy will be Wehrmacht and Waffen SS.

I'm not sure that I can gather the interest of 'Hell Let Loose'... yet another WWII game with American and German forces.

Yep think I'll wait for Post Scriptum. But if this turns out to be great later on I'll get it no doubt. Looks promising right now.

Wow, looks really promising already, although not even alpha. The atmosphere reminds me of "Band of Brothers"

and you got that strange feeling in your guts like danger and death waiting for you...

Yes, it looks a lot like Squad.

The stretch goal of 700K is hilarious, they go from small incremental additions to a full on New army with a new theatre. It got a good chuckle out of me.

That's way too quiet for June 6th 1944 in Normandy.

The clouds are really good and lighting looks well done, but the sound is pretty bad.  Gun sounds are pretty much worthless.

I would like these and every other developer to go outside, find a hedge or even a medium-sized bush, and run at it head on.  Then come back here and let me know how the experience compared to what they show in-game.

Sorry, I didn't catch what you said after "running head first into a medium-size bush".

What is it with all these FPS and RPG games?

How come that eyesight is always at dwarf height?

It does not matter if they are walking or running or whatever they are doing.

Looks like it could become the next version of Forgotten Hope 2 - the classic free mod for Battlefield 2 that transformed the game into a semi-realistic ww2 shooter covering many of the major theaters.

The thing that sticks in my mind by far was, back before ssds to make the load times more interesting they had really awesome music and period songs playing in the background,

that game really had a certain 'something' about it.

Well, the Reason I Pre-Order from 777/1C is that I know their Work, I love and I know that I won't be disappointed.

The Reason I am hesitant for Hell let Loose is that I early accessed DayZ Standalone and so many other Half-Finished Games.

If a new Studio wants my Money I want a REALLY Solid Tech/Showcase Demo for Free, or at least less than 12$. And that Demo has to demonstrate that the Game has promise.

It would be enough for them to release a 200x200 Map to try everything out in.

BeamNG.drive was a simple Grid Map in the Beginning, only 3 Cars, and it was amazing. They had a running System they could build on and the game got better and better. That's what Hell Let Loose should attempt as well.

I'm not gonna be fooled again.

"On paper, Hell Let Loose is a realistic multiplayer World War Two combined arms first person shooter of open battles of up to 100 players with infantry, tanks, artillery and a shifting front line."

This combined to latest graphics, there is actually not too much competition out there.

I'm in.

Iwas spending way to much time on WW2 Call of Duty, so I simply won´t take the chance getting in to this. I am comphortable with my flightsim time . It is within healthy regulation, these FPS games suck you in and keep you on a half frustrating half content, aggressive mood that it simply never enough. No thanks

Just too bad that the promotional video showed us exactly nothing of that. To me it looked like a very basic WW2 multiplayer shooter. Edited by Finkeren

We'll see i guess. So far i'm liking what i'm seeing, nice graphics, gun sounds, one shot kills etc. Like RO2 with better graphics.

It looks great, but one week after release it will be full of Aimbotters and wall hedge hacks.

Any words on VR-support of the game?

How would VR work with a FPS?

Like 6 DOF in ARMA?

Yep, despite my misgivings when this first came out, it's looking really good now!

Thinking about getting this. I like that it seems a bit more casual than post scriptum or squad.

Anyone here played it yet?

Decided to buy it, it's actually pretty fun and runs smooth for an early access release. The only thing that bothers me is some of the sounds and the Sherman 3d model.

I bought this back in 2017 at the Captain backer level. It is a quality WW2 realism game for boots on the ground. If you liked Red Orchestra 1, RO2, or Post Scriptum you will love Hell Let Loose. The devs are super active in improving the game and listening to the community. The devs already plans to include both Western and Eastern front lines in their game which is a first ever! Plus the game is only $30 while in early access.  Buy the game, I really have nothing bad to say about it.   (a rare thing these days)

I would like to buy one of those games but I can't decide which to buy.

Sugestions is welcome!

Squad or HLL.

I like timed gameplay, not run n gun.

Squad is a solid modern realism shooter, worth buying. Post Scriptum is my current favorite realism WW2 shooter, my recommendation. Hell Let Loose, still has growing pains to go through so much of the game is not yet there and in the construction phase. If you want a mainly complete realism shooter game then buy Squad otherwise Post Scriptum.

I say give HLL a try... even in this early state, I'd say that graphics wise it's ahead of PS.

Every house you go into in HLL looks like the occupants have dropped everything and just left... In PS all the houses are completely vacant of any sign of a human presence, they are totally bare.

The in game comms system in HLL works as advertised, and servers have been very active (as you would expect on game launch)

I haven't had time yet to fully get into the game, but as someone who was sceptical about it early on, I've been keeping an eye on it and it is has massively improved from a few months ago.

How is performance compared to PS?

Think I´ll get HLL anyways - just interested.
