[CPT]CptJackSparrow Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 or_enable = 1 or_height = 2224 or_hud_rad = 1.50000 or_hud_size = 0.75000 or_ipd = 0.05892 or_width = 1872 The hud ones seem to adjust the size and position of hud elements. I'm curious, what does ipd do?
dburne Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I think that is your inter pupilary distance, the thing you set in the Rift with the slider on the bottom when setting it up.
TG-55Panthercules Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 (edited) How does the startup.cfg file know what the ipd setting should be, where does its number come from, and what effect does changing it have? Should we manually go in and change it to what the Rift says you're using or what your glasses prescription says it should be? For example, those lines in my file are as follows: or_enable = 1 or_height = 2427 or_hud_rad = 1.50000 or_hud_size = 0.75000 or_ipd = 0.06929 or_lens_offs = 1.00000 or_width = 2038 I don't recall having changed any of them myself - why are some of them different from the ones in the OP? HunDread Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I beleive ipd in startup.cfg is automatically updating to the actual physical ipd of the hmd. Probably reading the value from steamvr?
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 It is indeed automatically updated. Make sure to not have the startup on read-only when playing in VR.
