xvii-Dietrich Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I've a couple of sort of half-baked idea here. I'm wondering if the mission design experts would have suggestions on how to make them more interesting/challenging/realistic. The concept is to experiment with Kuban map to make some missions to experiment with... both for its own sake, but also in anticipation of BoMid. The Kuban map has a LOT of water on it, and flying times (and search areas) are large. 1. Landfall. Put a few coastal airfields on the Kuban map and an airspawn in the bottom-left region, waaaaaaay out to sea. Add poor weather, wind, or something like that. The idea is to make land-fall and get the aircraft home safely. Additional challenges could be AI aircraft, limited fuel, etc.. I am assuming that some cross-wind will blow-you off course a bit. But is there a way to randomise the start point? Any other ideas? 2. Maritime recon. Similar, but the other way around. Start from a coastal base, fly waaaaay out to sea and then search for naval contacts. Convoy ships or lone vessels would be best (not U-boats, as that is not very historical). Weather, wind, etc. could make things more tricky. Again, randomisation is an issue. Is there a way to randomise the convoy location at all? Any other ideas?
Gambit21 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I have a few ship/search missions planned for the A-20 campaign that I'm currently working on...randomized convoy locations as well. If you'e interested in alpha-testing with the Pe-2 (the current stand-in for the A-20) I don't have those particular missions built yet, I'm on mission 2, about to start mission 3. 2
