SCG_motoadve Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I have it on full, GTX 1080. FPS are high and game play smooth. Still dont understand what does this do , and what setting should I have for best quality.
-=PHX=-SuperEtendard Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 The dynamic resolution factor is a feature that works when you select a target frame rate in the settings. If your pc has problems in keeping this target frame rate, the game will decrease the resolution of some textures in the image in order to keep that frame rate. I think with a 1080 you wouldn't have any problem with this so you can have it off.
jaydee Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) As SE said, if you have a 1080 ,you don't need DSR. Edit : depending on your monitor and resolution ! Edited October 2, 2017 by jaydee
Guest deleted@50488 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Well, in my GTX 960 54 GB I still can perfectly run il2 @ 60 fps most of the time. I have HDR on. Will try to enable DRF just to watch the difference...
BlznSaddles Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I have it on for my Oculus setup. Set to 0.6. I haven't really noticed it kick in at all, even when frame rates drop. I'm not sure how far the frames actually have to drop to trigger it.
Livai Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Will try to enable DRF just to watch the difference... Much better than DRF is what I found out. - Enable GPU Scaling - Create Custom Resolution - Run the Game with Custom Resolution I have a 1920x1080 @ 144hz Monitor but run the game with 2048x1151 @ 144hz ( Custom Resolution ). Looks much better for me. I see more details.

I too have a 144hz 1920x1080 monitor and would love to have more detail if my PC can handle it without going below 60FPS How much of a difference does the resolution change make for you?

I overclocked my Monitor to have the Custom Resolution of 2048x1151 for gaming. The Resolution change is noticeable. I waiting for the Custom Graphic Setting feature to adjust every setting to my taste if this effect is noticeable or not to create a Graphic that looks like Ultra but performs x100 times better.. To the FPS min.44 - above 186 FPS @ Ultra playing my overloaded missions. Funny if I lower Shadows to Low it improves the min.FPS to stay above 60 FPS. For my overloaded missions not bad overall. I have the 1080 Ti and Ryzen 1700 @ 3,8 Ghz. Maybe Intel adds +20FPS more to the max. FPS but not to the min. FPS Bought the 144hz for testing all games that I play. I wanted to go 4k but I wanted before I do that how it feels to play with 144 FPS mainly to check out if it makes me better than with 60hz. Edited October 5, 2017 by Livai
