SCG_motoadve Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Will there be any conflicts or spiking if both controllers are available to use??
GrendelsDad Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I tried setting up my throttles for my twins on my Ch quadrant and my Ch pro throttle for fighters and general use...as long as I didnt move the single throttle the others worked fine. Not a direct answer but seems like it would be possible as long as the other stick wasn't "activated" or moved while flying.
Yogiflight Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I have to delete the two axis of the Yoke for flying with the stick, otherwise the game doesn't recognize the stick's axis, but no problems with the buttons. But I don't know, if this is a specific issue of my Saitek Yoke System, or if this is the same for other yokes as well.
Hoss Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Everytime you start your game with a new controller hooked up it will tell you it has found a new device, it will ask if you want it to take the place of some of the other controllers you already have in hooked up. You will find them in 1C Game Studios/IL-2 Sturmovik Battle Of Moscow/Stalingrad/data/input/devices.txt and it will look like this. configId,guid, model| 0,,| 1,%222e1e4b40-486a-11e7-0000545345440680%22,Thrustmaster%20Combined| 2,%22fec80c70-746d-11e7-0000545345440180%22,MFG%20Crosswind%20V2| any other devices I hook up will be 3, 4, 5, etc. If I forget to start TARGET software the game sees my TM Warthog stick and throttle as seperate devices and puts them on here as devices 3 and 4. I just come in here and delete those entries and it's back to normal. Cheers Hoss
jaydee Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Hi motoadve. If you are using Win 10 there is an option (I think its powersaving) to let your USB devices to "Sleep" if not used within a certain time. I found this in Reverse, some of my Devices wouldn't work when I played the game. Might be worth looking into. ~S~
KG200_Volker Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 You can have multiple joysticks set for the same function (up to 3 for each move), as long as you don't send signal from 2 different axis at the same time. You might have one at 0 or 100% and still nothing moves while you use your second axis, to remedy this add a small dead zone at either edge of the first axis because even thow it's at the end it sends some minor signal to IL2 and gets it confused.
Sokol1 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 If any or your controllers has a "toggle" switch/rocker (what limit then option to Warthog, cougar throttle of VKB Black Mamba) set one of this toggle for press (and thus hold) a Windows modifier (Alt, Ctrl, Shift, Win keys) through keyboard emulation.* Set the Yoke axis as usual, but together with this modifier, so their axes only will send command if the modifier key is pressed (switch toggled). * Will be more simple if the game allow set buttons as modifier or save profiles per planes - like other games, that initial "lees keys is better" is showing their limitations as the game evolves.
KG200_Volker Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 * Will be more simple if the game allow set buttons as modifier or save profiles per planes . Amen!
Norman Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Here's what I do. Under key mapping pitch and roll axes, I would map the first column to my joystick and the second column to my yoke. The second column will take precedence in this case. If I want to fly a fighter, I would just delete the yoke assignments. If I want to revert back to the yoke, it just involves a quick assignment again on the pitch and roll axes. This is the best way I have found so far without customizable profiles. Alternatively, you can save all the files in the input folde out into a separate folders if your assignments are drastically different, like I have for mine when I fly the Ju-52.
dburne Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I have two sticks hooked up and working fine with BoS. My Warthog that I have used for a number of years, and more recently my Virpil T-50. I recently had to switch back to using the Warthog for a little while and it still operated just fine ( I had left it plugged in to the USB port). Switched back to the Virpil stick yesterday and all still well with it also.
