HeavyCavalrySgt Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 It seems like the AI fighter pilots tend not to want to stick with you in combat. As soon as they spot the enemy, they tend to want to go haring off after them, often giving up an advantageous position in favor of a direct attack, or preventing you from maneuvering your flight into an advantageous position. Would it be possible to have the AI, based on skill level or missions flown, be less likely to go rogue and revert to "fools rush in" as their primary tactic? 1
EisenWaffel Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I've noticed them make especially bad decisions. For instance there was a Pe2 that had flaming engines bellowing black smoke and about 200 meters off the ground and going down. My friendly 109 just had to get more shots on it and in doing so crashes into the ground. Well the ai might be able to recognize this plane is doomed already and no further action is needed, also the ai could be more aware about the danger of hitting the ground.
LLv24_Zami Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Hi! There`s a special thread now where you can report weird or buggy AI behavior: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/31321-special-topic-work-ai-ai-behavior-commands-wingman/
FTC_Riksen Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 There should be a command like "Stay in Formation" to keep ur wingman with u at all times unless he's taking fire. Crazy AIs attacking without an order is a huge immerssion killer!
