AI Unaware Of Obstacles?

I keep seeing my squad mates auger in on ground attack missions.

 

I wonder if they are unaware of obstacles like trees? I often find that my whole flight has flown into the same stand of trees on an attack run.

I have observed the same AI performance anomaly during my recent mission creation efforts. It has been reported to the Devs. :mellow:
