A_radek Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 VR implementation is fantastic. Despite my fear of VR being a handicap in multiplayer due to the low resolution, VR by nature, in some ways makes it all easier compared to TrackIR.Spotting targets is as easy or against some backgrounds easier than on a monitor. However. With the low resolution us VR users struggle to identify friend from foe. Sometimes it's easy, tracercolors are a dead giveaway, camo colors. wing silhouttes help and if a pixel drops a bomb on friendlies you know it's an enemy. But when for example chasing a 2-engine craft you have to get considerably closer compared to monitor mode, before you can determine if it's a 110 or a pe-2.My suggestion is, can we have a second and alternative VR zoom that maginfies a little more than the current one? I realize that with the next gen HMD's and their better resolution this same zoom could lead to an advantage in identification ability over regular monitor users. But then again 4k monitors are already there. 1
[CPT]CptJackSparrow Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Yes please! I'd pay money for a setting in the config that will allow either a 3x or 4x VR zoom. Leave the default at 2x, so as not to make new people to VR sick to their stomachs. But allow a setting to be tweaked to increase the zoom level. This will greatly improve the enjoyment in VR for, I'd wager, most VR users. 2
