Moving main game screen to taskbar

Hi All, Is it possible to move the IL-2 main screen down to my taskbar so that i can open up PWCG missions page, and then click the taskbar game icon to go back to IL-2,.

Alt-Tab between the two.

 

Note you will need to exit from the mission screen in game , then go back in for new mission to show up.

Yep, but it's a bit tricky, at least in Win 10. If you don't minimize PWCG (or any other program running), you'll be able to switch to it in-game by hitting Alt-Tab.

 I always minimize PWCG when I start BoS, and am still able to alt-tab and select between the two without any problem.

I do find that BoX does not like to alt-tab out as easily as other sims unless you already have something else open to alt-tab to. If I don't haveTeamspeak open and need to alt-tab out then I often have to resort to Ctl-Alt-Del just to get a window open that I can alt-tab to.

dburne is right, just checked, PWCG is not a problem if minimized. I remembered incorrectly. Some other programs like Joy2Key and OpenTrack need to be not minimized to be accessible via Alt-Tab.

That's Windows design. Alt-Tab is to switch between programs that are open. CTRL-ESC is to get to the start menu when no other programs are open.

 

It's not a fault of this series, it's the way Windows is designed.

I used to alt-tab in and out without any problem. But since the last update I can't do it anymore. Whenever I alt-tab out the game freezes. Oddly enough though, when I alt-tab back into the game I still hear the sound playing. It's just the graphics that freeze.
