Trim animation

Maybe I'm completely wrong, so please correct me.

I suppose when the plane is trimmed to the right, the trim surface also moves/rotates to the right (just as the rudder would do).

I suppose when the plane is trimmed to nose up, the trim surfaces also move/rotate upwards (just as the elevator would do).

Just asking because the animation shows just the opposite (I noticed it on the P-40, and checked with the LaGG and the La as well).

one thing I have noticed, which is most likely a bug is:

on the Pe2 (both models), the roll trim function becomes reversed (left becomes right) after ailerons have received damage.

that is, if control of one aileron is shot out, the roll trimmer starts to function backwards.

yet the trim-tab animation remains unaffected, and then it moves in the same direction as the aileron gets pushed (opposite of what it should do)

it's quite weird to behold - easy to try it out as well...

You should definitely make a video of this and post it in the bugs subforum. That's bizarre sounding.

Thanks, Andy, I'm always happy to learn. :)

As Gambler said, please post a video of this issue

Intriguing thread title.

(Looking for 'trim animation' pictures on the net still results in way more decent images than looking for 'classic perizoma', just to remain in the context of trimming)
