Wedgewood Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 One thing that bugs me a little bit is that the pilot head view can only go up 90 degrees from centre starting point. When using head tracking if you look up beyond 90 degrees the view turns into an upside-down backwards view. My first suggestion is to have a physical stop while looking up similar to the pilot head yaw stop when you hit the canopy, this way the view will only go as far as allowed by the pilots head movement restrictions and will not flip upside down causing us to lose situational awareness. My second suggestion is to have a command to allow the pilot to loosen the shoulder straps on his harness to provide more head movement. Having loosened shoulder straps could cause more pilot head movement as an effect but would also allow the pilot to look much farther behind while looking up and also easier to check your 6 as his shoulders will not be pinned to the seat. After doing some research I have concluded that fighter pilots did in fact loosen shoulder straps in order to see more up and behind so I feel it could be a valuable, and realistic tool to add to this game. this game is great and I'm absolutely obsessed with it, keep up the good work.
