Hi to everybody, at moment for me the A.I. its very very good many thank developers...

It's a good start to be sure, but there are issues to fix:

At the moment the AI handles overshooting quite poorly, seldom taking the initiative if the opponent overshoots and if they themselves overshoot they often simply respond by flying straight and level and lowering their airspeed, making a very easy target.

The AI also doesn't fly the LaGG particularly well, often burning a lot of energy and doing a weird oscillating pitch motion, which makes the plane a sitting duck.

The different skill levels of the AI seem to only affect its accuracy, the flying is pretty much indistinguishable (though I think the ace-109s climb somewhat better)

The AI seems too eager to engage in head-on shootouts.

That being said, there is a lot of good stuff that works fine:

The fact that the AI can even fly at all at this stage with the complex FM is impressive.

AI gunnery seems fairly realistic, it's deadly accurate when you take no evasive action, but there are no 'magic bullets' that hits you from imposible angles. The AI even seems capable of (or at least attempts) basic deflection shooting.

At least the Bf 109 seems to be able to handle the energy game on a basic level. It definately tries to get on top of the fight. The LaGG is less succesful because of the problems already mentioned, but no fight has ended up on the deck so far.

The AI seems to try to disengage if damaged. And jumps from the plane rather than try savning a doomed aircraft, as they often did in IL2-1946.

I'm not sure of this, but the AI actually seems to have a blind spot at six o'clock low and seems to be able to lose sight of you (which is something I have never seen before in a flight sim)

At the moment novice AI pilots seem to have zero experience and hardly be able to keep the plane in the air ;) while ace pilots are doing pretty well. At least what I can tell from what I've seen so far.

Yep, but sametimes AI flies a little strange (like puppets - wings are shacking). But mainly I agree! (just more sound of bullets!) : >

Does anyone know if several AI planes actually work as a team, in other words, does it acknowledge the presence of friendly aircraft in any way during combat? I really hope you will be able to order the AI to perform some basic maneuvers with you in the final version.

S!

AI is predictable and follows certain patterns. They pose no challenge at all except their above average accuracy in some situations. When you learn the limitations of AI it is easy to "abuse" it and rack up kills even in the LagG-3, more so in the Bf109. Sure it is still WIP so I think there will be adjustments to it, but I hope no shortcuts like magical bullets from insane angles and all that or performing above plane specs etc. Will see :)

Actually there's at least one difference in how the AI levels fight; to me it seems that the ace doesn't want to start with head-ons as much as the regular one. I can't say much about the ace 109, though.

Also the stick yanking the AI does when it's near the plane's limits is nice to see, however I'd rather see a less wobbly approach there so that when the AI realizes it's at the limit (if it doesn't outright stall the plane) it'll pull back a bit and stay there for a while. The 109 especially might try to disengage from an engagement going badly with its speed even if it isn't above the player. Most importantly there should be different AIs with capabilities such as bravery, flying skill, shooting skill, spotting etc. and there should also be some randomness each time they make decisions.

Of course this is probably what's going on anyway so I have to agree, it's a pretty nice start for the AI so far.
